Is Leo really as fast as he looks?
-Is there really any doubt at all? The answer is yes. (He doesn't look that fast)
Can I run with the team?
-Yes, we really want to encourage anyone to come and run with us.
Right now we are coordinating with another local San Diego club to
offer more running opportunities.
How does Running for Help help people?
-The organizations that we picked to highlight are organizations that more
people need to know about, and our website hopes to educate everyone that
visits it. We bring awareness to these causes when we, as a team, race in 5ks,
10ks, half-marathons, potato sack races and three legged races. Also,
all of our sponsors' proceeds go straight to the non-profits.
For more, see the results tab on the left.
How can I help?
-Click on Join Team RFH on the left, enter your information and we will
have you making a difference in no time.
Have you won any awards?
-No, I pat myself on the back often.
Are you a 501(c)(3)?
-No, we are in the process of becoming a tax-exempt non-profit organization.
It's a lot of work, again, we're much faster at running than we are at
doing paper work.
I'm not in San Diego, can I still help?
-One of the ideas we're floating around is to have teams wherever
we're needed. If you think you'd be interested in rounding up your friends
and making a difference through your running, please let us know!
Whats the story of Running For Help?
-I was sitting in my room talking with Leo, we were at the very end of
our running careers at PLNU. Looking back we tried to understand why we
put ourselves through fours years of this silly sport called running. We pin
pointed two things, we did it for ourselves (personal growth, scholarships,
women), and we believed in what our Christian university stood for. We
recognized that our running represented our beliefs. We decided that
with the gifts God has given us, we could futher show our belief that
we must help people. That is why we continue to run, that is why on
the night of May 5th 2008, Running For help came on-line with the
purpose of helping people in need.
